For the past Year i have only heard mostly Bad things
about yamahas Raptor and i would really like to get
one but the bad things i hear about me doesnt sound all that "neat of a Quad". And i would like to hear from you guys is if the raptor is a good Quad.

If you believe everything you read on these forums you will go insane worrying about your quad. In here we are the "ATV-fanatics" of the world so every little problem on any quad gets blown out of proportion. Plus, a lot of people come on here asking for help with there problems...not everyone who rides a Raptor spends time in here praising there quad...they are out riding!

You may hear about carbs blowing off, reverse problems leading to tranny difficulties and the weak axle. I think I covered them all. Most get an after-market axle anyways.

I have had my Raptor for about a month and I love it! It has tons of power, it's relatively quiet for such a powerful quad, handles great, is lightweight, great suspension, looks killer and gets killer looks wherever it goes and is just plain wicked! Sure it may eventually have problems... but I will cross that bridge when I get there.

I have 1050 miles on my Raptor with no problems at all.

 

I have had a few probs with my raptor like bent axle busted durablue axle and a couple other little odds n ends but the latest has been my tranny is stuck in reverse. I cant realy complain as i love the machine other wise but this is what i get for getting one of the first ones. Everyone that got theres after like january or so has had better luck. Once i get the bugs worked out i am sure i will be happy.
