FourLix,

Yep, thats 20329, seems to be a brand new one.

I also agree with you 100%, lets keep posting info, trying to figure this problem out.

While I doubt Yamhaa is putting larger pilots in the cabs yet, it is a possibility. I personally upgrade to a Big Gun Exhaust, so I updated my pilots to 27.5 after my first 10 hours of riding.

I haven't <knock on wood> had a single problem out of my raptor yet. I plan on putting it through it's paces alot this summer..

Hey guys! I think I'm in for it. My serial # is 5081....dang....If I'd have waited another month. Anyways...My raptor is stock except for the baffle being out....and I blow the carbs off religiously. I now carry an allen wrench in my little black tool kit and just put it back on when it comes off. It's almost as normal as putting gas in the quad now I do it so often!

Austin, turn your idle up some, they'll stop blowing off..

either that or install 27.5 pilots will fix the problem..

I wouldn't keep doing that, you're going to blow them off at the wrong time and suck a bunch of nasty dirt in your motor..

Just my $.02

Fourlix....when my Raptor was bone stock with no mods, it blew the carbs off one evening. Do a search under my Posting name and find the post: Raptor Burped (a bit long). That was the frist time it happened to mine.
Austin911....get a flexible telescopic screwdriver and adjust your idle circuit like you would any other atv/motorcycle. Set the idle circuit(s) for the highest rpm at idle. I done this last weekend and my glowing headpipe went away! Do this before switching pilot jets. If the problem persists, then change pilots.

'01 Raptor, SN#17480. Not a single problem with my bike and it's as stock as the day I bought it (well, I went to 12 tooth).

I agree with whoever said it earlier in this thread, I think Yammy probably did a silent fix on the tranny gear. I guess the only way to tell will be to wait and see if someone with a 6000+ Raptor scatters the tranny and we can take a look at the stock 2nd gear. The new gear is supposed to be physically larger than the old one.

Mine is #005965. I bought it December 1, 2000. It's never blown the carbs off, and the tranny is still in one piece. I hope it stays that way-My warranty ran out 5 days ago!!! For the record, I ride the crap out of this thing, 2 harescrambles and plenty of motorcross every weekend. I hope it holds up

I just went downstairs to check my Raptor's numbers out. The last six digits are: 000575. Anyone have a lower number?
I've been in sand dunes, water above the fenders, and on moto x tracks with no problems. It's bone stock with the exception of a 12 tooth front sprocket.

Bought mine in February, 2001, serial number 13,159 . No problems yet, but only has about 25 hours on it...It would be REALLY COOL if someone could find out from Yamaha when or if a replacement actually happened, I'll pitch in on a bribe for the informant...
