Does anyone have a 2001 or 2000 Blaster that can help me. Have you had any major problems with it in the years you have owned it? Can you tell me the shift pattern? Do you have to rev it high before you shift? Thanks for the help.

I don't own a Blaster, but I think I know what your problem is. The shift pattern is probably 1-N-2-3-4-5-6 with a neutral bypass on the way up. At least, this is how my friend's Warrior is. The other thing about his Warrior is the idle. It won't let you shift into gear unless the engine is revvng below a certain speed, and when he first got it, it was idling so high that we had to adjust it (the screw to adjust it is on the side of the carb) in order to get it to shift into gear.

Like I said, I don't own a Blaster, and I'm not positive that this is your problem. But good luck with it, just the same.

The blaster is a good machine. The only real problems are the brakes that don't work well in wet conditions. Campy got the shoft pattern right. You shift when you get to the higher part of the powerband. You can tell when to shift if you know what you are doing. It becomes a "feel" eventually. Sometimes I shift without knowing it.

I agree with you. I have a 98 blaster and i have to adjust my brakes almost every time i ride. Heres a hint. Get the hydraulic brake kit from trinity. It works wonders!!

I'm in the market for a new quad so therefore you would recomend it except for the brakes. What do you mean by "adjust my brakes"?

I have a 2000 thats been getting beat pretty bad for the last 6th months or so, to date the only problem I have had was I needed to cut my vent hose cuz it was too long. They are ALOT tougher than I thought. Defintley try one, if you like it buy it, they are alot of fun, as long as you do regular maintance (change the oil, clean the filter, tighten up nuts and bolts here and there, and keep it clean) it will be very reliable and will last a long time.

To make "adjusting your brakes" alot easier, the blaster rear brake has an auto adjuster, just pump the pedal for a while, I did it and havent had to do it since..
