I have a blaster and a 400ex...we have raced them many times. In a drag race the blaster wins hands down. The 400ex is stock...the blaster is piped and bored once over, that's pretty much it for the engine.
The 400ex does handle better. But in this case, the blaster is faster. They both seem to top out at right around the same top speed. Maybe a few mph in favor of the 400. But not so much as it's walking away from the blaster. (ps. the blaster is for sale)

My Blaster is fairly modded out and when I raced a near stock 400ex I took the holeshot but he slowly pulled up by me and ayway. He one my one or one and a half qaud lengths. You also have to remember that weight is a huge issue. I weight like 30-35 pounds less than this 400 so I beleive with my new bore work I should be a little closer to him.

 

Why does this blaster kid lie so much? My friend had a 95 blaster with a $1000 in vito's motor work done to it and he still couldn't beat me. He did beat a 400ex though. Any how back to the question stock balster will beat almost all 4x4's except new 600's,300ex,250ex,and other small 4 strokes. Yz boy needs to check his lying.

Lake Orion? I use to live there. But I'm not lying. Did I mention that I also gotten beaten by 400EXs, Raptors, DS650s, Grizzly660s, Banshees, 250Rs (I never have beaten one of them), and a lot of others. I only beat the Banshee cause the person riding it stalled. The reason I beat the 400EX and the Raptor it was two brothers driving them and they have never rode before. So I guess I didn't say all of that. Sorry bout that. But I'm not lying.

 

Did I also mention these are all drag and I race in stock drag racing. God. Like I said it all depends on the rider. I'm not saying my Blaster is faster than them. I'm just saying at that time and place I beat them. That's all.

I own a 2001 blaster bone stock! It will not touch a 400ex, but a 300ex is a good race. I can beat a 400 scrambler easily. Also the 4x4 thing....a griz will beat a blaster. Expecially the new 660. People always brag about their machines. Anyone who has ridden a machine like theirs knows and also knows that they are full of it. OH... and for the record... a stock blaster would never EVER touch a piped or stock shee. It's just not possible.
