Fuel Efficiency......2-Stroke to 4-Stroke (Blaster)(300ex)
#1
Does a 2-Stroke 4-wheeler with mixed gas burn at about the same rate as a 4-Stroke does? Lets just say the blaster and the 300ex has a 2.4 gal. gas tank, you ride them the same amount and at the same time which one would run out of gas first?

This is not a 100% true statement, that 4 strokes burn a lot less gas.
2 and 4 strokes still need about 14:1 air:fuel mix, so they burn the same amount of gas. The problem is 2 strokes generally have to be run in the higher RPM bans to get the needed power, so they need more gas for the higher revs. 4 strokes can put along at a much lower RPM, using much less gas at the same speed.
If you ride a 4-stroke hard and up in rpm range like a 2-stroke, you'll get 2 stroke mileage, ask the guys riding raptors in the sand, they KNOW!
In woods riding a can move steadily along in 2nd or 3rd gear and go forever on a tank. I did a 5 1/2 hour ride the other day (raptor) and came back on reserve, but I made it.
