Ok. I just got my Warrior motor put back together and here are a few of my problems:

1. The starter clutch does not dis-engauges when needed. When i pulled the starter rope, the starter would turn too. Help! It was working fine out of the motor.

2. Any suggestions on fine tunning the carb?

Well, I heard this site was really good for information. I tested the Coil and it did not have a good amount of resistance. One of those are going to be purchased. Also the Starter clutch is still up for grabs with any info. Please help me here!

Since you are getting a new starter I will not say anything on that. As for the carb, I don't own a warrior but I hear the carbs are hard to work on. Most people get an aftermarket carb when they get the chance. It should be like working on any other 4 stroke carb.

I see in you profile that you are new to the forum. This is a good place to get info. Usually you get some good answers within a day or two. I've been here since november and it is by far my favorite forum.

Welcome and good luck with the warrior!

No the carbs are very easy to work on. Also we just got a new starter. Brand new. It is the starter clutch behind (or in front) of the fly wheel that is not working correctly. What could be worng with the starter clutch if it was working fine on the work bench, but now does not work at all?

Blaster96, I have way too much experience with starter clutches. What happens is that warrior owners electric starters go, and they think that the problem is because of the starter. Well, what happens is that the one-way starter clutch on the back of the flywheel gear wears out. You have to remove the flywheel, and pull the big gear off. On the back of the gear is the starter clutch. It is held onto the gear with allen head screws which are unfortunately "punched" on from the factory. If you are lucky, the screws will come out. If not, you'll have to drill them out. I think a new starter clutch is about $100. Don't use your new starter motor until you replace the clutch.

What happens is that the starter clutch wears out, and "over-engages" and locks onto the gear instead of freely spinning. The only fix is to buy a new starter clutch.

We had the whole thing off. The stealership took it off for us and we brought it home. The flywheel gear was seized on to the clutch. So we used a puller and it can off. Then on the work-bench it was fine.

We just ordeerd at Flywheel puller from The dealer. We got the allen head screw out of the thing. We have already spent $700 in repairing this motor. So, i need a new Starter Clutch?

Blaster96, the starter clutch will work fine when turning it by hand. But when you put it on the motor, it will just lock up again from the motor torque. Maybe if you are lucky, you can put it back on the motor and it will be fine. But I've never had one work after I've un-froze it from the gear. It'll work once, then freeze up again. What ever you decide, just make sure you check to be sure the starter motor isn't spinning. You can check for prices at www.ronnies.com or www.partsfiche.com
