I think a blaster would be pretty good for you. I'm 16, almost 6'1" and 160 lbs. I love my blaster. There is a very large selection of aftermarket products for it too. Right now I'm in the process of completely rebuilding mine from the frame-up. They are easy to work on.

Where are there places to race around here? I see you are from beaverdale. That is only about 90 minutes away from me. Do you know of any good trails?

Dude you oughta come down here ridin. The trails down here kick *** sometimes we set up lil GNCC races just for fun. We also have cool mines to ride in(awesome hills to climb). As far as races there are GNCC races in Talortown,PA and Mt. Morris, PA.

I doubt I'll be able to do anything this year. Next summer I'll have my license, a truck, and my blaster will be put back together and ready to kick a little a$$ again. I was thinking about getting into racing, but I don't like closed track racing. I like stuff like hare scrambles and poker runs, where you have to negotiate natural terrain. Lap after lap of the same thing seems boring to me.

Out here in Eighty Four, we have miles of whoops along train tracks, several long, winding trails, coal fields (slag dumps), huge hill climbs, and cops that don't give a damn. But I'm always looking for new places to ride.
I'll contact you if I'll be in the area, though.

The polaris scrambler 400 is perfect for your size and racing cross country. I have one and the handling charactoristists are incredible out on the trails, being fully automatic theres no need to worry about what gear your in.

i wouldnt ask that question on here because everyone will tell you a different quad to buy and you will be stil stuck in your hole.

you should go out on the trails and talk to people and ride their quads and see what you like.

i would say 400ex or 250r
