Does this sound okay for a Raptor?

I just called a local dealer today and asked him what he was asking for his Raptor that he has. He said that ealier this year he was selling them for $6500, but since the 2002's are around the corner he will let it go for $6200 (before taxes and everything). Is that the normal price they are going for? I'm going to make a few more phone calls to some dealers, but I believe that the one that I called is the only one that has them in stock.
Also, do you think that I should hold off and get a 2002? I don't think I can wait until September.
Thanks for the help.

Well, I like the DS, and the Cannondale look great too, but the Raptor fits my needs more. Where I ride the DS is just to big. If I rode open trails or dunes, that is probably what I would get. The Raptor also has reverse which is a nice feature, but it doesn't make the decision for me. I'm not too lazy to get off the seat and move it around myself.
I'm kind of undecided still I guess, mainly because of the Raptor reliabilty issue. I know of 7 people that have them around here and a couple of them have had them since they first came out and have not had any problems. However it seems like more people on this board are having problems, than aren't.
I've also heard reliability issues about the Cannondales too (heard being the key word). I also don't care much for the styling of them, but that's just my opinion. Plus I don't trust 90% of the mechanics around here working on my carbs, not to mention fuel injection.
Thanks for the reply though.

Buy the raptor you wont regret it. Call THE GREAT OUTDOOR STORE in
Jackson ,Tenn. 1-888-202-1264 .They sell Raptors for 5850. no tax to out of state buyers. I got mine from them and the shipping was about 300. dollars.
Thats with crating and straps .They ship thru foward air. Dont buy the cannondale. It aready has a long list of problems and its a first year quad
from a company that has never mass produced them before.Thats just asking for trouble. The raptor is great ride and once you ride it your hooked. I have had all kinds of quads and I like the Raptor the best.
