ok, dont listen to every year or 2.
yours can go for a long time, like 5yrs before you need to bore it, new piston, new gaskets.
to tell for sure when you need to rebuild it, get yourself a compression guage and put the end in where the spark plug screws in, and kick your starter kicker till it will not raise the needle in the guage anymore. that will tell you your compression and will tell you if it is good or if you need a rebuild. i dont know what the compression should be on a blaster though.

When your engine is worn out, it's time for a rebuild. You will recognise a lick of compression. EX. easier to kick over, doesn't start as easy as it used to, or slight loss of power. What you will do is take the cylininder off the piston and take it to the local shop to see what saize over bore you need to buy. Then you order the new oversized piston and when it arrived, have the shop bore your cylinder to fit the piston. Then you trake it home and follow your manual to assemble it. It's easy to do your self and a waste of money to have a shop assemble it.
