I am in the process of re jetting the carbs i got the new jets in i went up one size on each carb but when we were taking it apart we couldn;t get the choke all the wasy out so we just turned the carbs upside down. got it back together out to the track and when we started it the idle was hi or so we thought.. so we just adjusted it down then took it for a ride low rpm it was fine mid to top was choppy and cut out a little almost like the choke was sticking. so how do i get the choke out and what does it connect to in the carbs we cannot see what it connects to either. we have them apart right now in out shop so any help quick fast and in a hurry would be great.

Unscrew the choke cable holder at the carb (I believe it's black plastic and takes 12mm wrench). Pull out the choke plunger/spring. The cable is connected to the plunger and plunger just slides freely in to its bore (its really not a choke, its an enrichener which allows direct fuel into the venturi when plunger is pulled open.

If its hard to pull out, its because is corroded from water entry (water can get it from top of cable at lever so avoid spraying the choke lever area when washing). Spray some WD40 into the plunger area and pull hard. After it comes out, clean off corrosion and put grease on it. Slide back in and you're set to go.
