I would go with the BIG BEAR
It has more power, and it is geared lower for mud. I personally have ridden all of these quads, and i can tell you that you get the most for your money with the big bear. The BB is great for mud, and for all sorts of trails, especially steep, and rocky ones. I LOVE mine!!!! But it is all wat u prefer, so i would test drive all of these quads so u can see which one you like!!!! This is just my opinion though.....

I have owned both a '00 Wolverine and a '00 Big Bear. The Wolverine was, by far, more fun to ride(handled better, faster, jumped better) but the Big Bear has more power and will turn the tires better in the mud. Especially if you have 25" or larger.

To MDP49 and everyone else...
I don't know if you guys saw my post, but I'm tryin' to find out how well Wolverines pull 25" tires through mud - without a 30 mph head start and without 10 different engine/clutch/gear mods. People have said it's OK if you keep the rpm's up, but that holds true for about any bike. One of you recommended the Wolv with Spder tracks. How about a Wolv with Maxis All Tracks? I guy around me that has a Wolv says they are the best tires he's ever owned. Can anyone say for sure whether the Wolv will turn 25" tires OK in mud?

I do not have spider tracs or all tracs ,but I have sur tracs, 26 inch.
I try and ride whenever I can. I trail ride, hills, creeks, and mud
I have never had a problem turning the tires in mud. The only modifications I made to my bike was remove the baffle, and drilled
the clutches to lighten them up. I bogged my bike down one time.
It was a hill climb with a huge mud hole in the middle, I stopped
to help some 2wheel drives, several people on foot helping,
after the trail was cleared I started where I stoppped and started
to spin,myself(200lbs),,,one guy jumped on front rack. one on rear rack and mud covering 3/4 of tires, other than that It has gone every where I pointed it.......
