Sorry that I can't tell you either, but as I recall the kit turns your four wheel ATV into a three wheel piece of $hit with the single in the rear. It goes state by state as to whether or not you can street legal an ATV, hell in California it seems to go DMV to DMV as I was able to street legal mine at my local California DMV while another guy on this forum was told it couldn't be done at the California DMV he went to. Go figure. In Arizona it's a piece of cake to do.

Escondido. I did everything that was required to the bike and they didn't even look at it.

Cool! I am surprised they didn't look at it. I live near Palm Springs and may give it a try. What were the requirements? Did you set it up yourself? Thanks for the info.

Go to your local CHP office and get a copy of CHP form 888 and CHP form 885. One is for motorcycle and the other is for automobile. I forget which is which but you use the one for the automobile. You will need to have everything on the ATV that is on an automobile. As far as tires, it only says that a minimum is 3/32 inch or thread is required, and in my mind a helmet with eye protection took care of the seat belt and windshield requirement, I may have been wrong. The other stuff is every thing a car has.

You will need to tell DMV you want to license this vehicle and you want to sigh a certificate of compliance that it does in fact meet all the requirements of CHP form xxx. I fabricated all the brackets and switch boxes etc. for mine. I can't say in every case that they will not want to look at the ATV, and you are sighing this form under the perjury penalty of law deal. So? I also had to go to a smog referee. The lady at DMV tried and tried but she couldn't get past the smog requirement in the computer. The smog referee just laughed, signed it off and gave me the papers, no charge.

Good luck
