Gold Rims, blue frame, white front and rear fenders, dark blue or black seat, blue tank cover, lights near front of frame right in front of front shock upper mounts, and dark blue to light blue Warrior Stickers on back fender. Can anyone tell me what year that Yamaha came out with this model color scheme. The guy who is selling it does not know and thinks its a 89. Thanks for any help.

 

I think it is an 88. If it has a recoil starter as well, then it is most likely an 88. Recoil starters came standard on the 87 and 88's. The 87's are black and red.

Yes it is an 88. But be carefull. These old warriors, if not taken care off, can cost a lot to get rolling agian. I got my 87 for 400 bux and has spent 2 grand in it. Also check out the starter clutch and make sure the starter is not turinng when the motor is on. If the starter clutch is bad there goes another 100 bux.
