What are the best tires for use in snow? They would go on a Blaster and I want to get the most ground clearance I can without losing speed.

Bandit 22 inchers. Good solid design with added ground clearance. Never rdden with them in the snow, but from reports and my judjment they seem like they would.

The Realtors can be reversed and run in the snow (says the manfacturer).

I have never tried them, nor do I know if they make then that would fit on a Blaster, but they look pretty good. www.rockymountain.com has them on their website.

For my money, nothing beats a good set of tires with ice studs. You couldn't believe the traction that you can get with them!

Get blackwaters! I used to run them. They last a long time, not too too heavy, excellent traction ANYWHERE. The downside is - they can run up a pretty high price, but they last a LONG LONG LONG time.

Last winter I tried factory banshee tires, bear claws, and hole shots on my banshee. and i tried the hole shots and bear claws on a warrior, and the factory titan 489's on my wifes tblazer.
That being said, the worst thing about riding in the snow that wasn't already packed down is front end height. The banshee and the warrior get bogged down on the front end with trying to plow the snow. the tblazer worked best in the snow.
In effectiveness the tires ranged as follows...
489's
bear claws [run backwards]
hole shots and banshee stock tires tied.
for this coming winter i'm planning to get some 25" tall rears for my banshee and some extra tall fronts. then I'll gear it so it treats the 25" tires like the stock 20" tires.

I have 22-10-9 realitors. I love them, a definate great tire. The are about the only "true" universal tire that i have found. The run great in mud, also in snow, and then in sand also. The downside....they are really heavy. Im not sure if a stock blaster could turn them bery good.

I would also try the Realtors or Bandits. The Realtors would be better. They do make 20 inchers for the blaster.

for the ULTIMATE SNOW TIRE get the pro wedge sand tires , they are a sand drag racing tire , the reason they KIK A$$ in the snow it because they take small bites out of the snow so they wont dig . with those tires you can wheelie in the snow ! also they are a 22inch tie so they dont give up any ground clearance . i love mine
