Hello all, I have been reading in this forum for a long time, dont write much though (didnt have much to offer). I just bought an 88 warrior last week, was wondering if there are any particular weak point I need to check over. Areas in the frame and so forth. The front end and rear swing arm are tight. So far I replaced the front wheel bearings, have all new brake pads on order, new handle bars and a twist grip ordered, installed a K&N filter and have new Bandit XCR 6plys for the front. Other than that I adjusted the clutch, parking brake, installed a new NGK plug, still need to adjust the valves and chain. The engine was rebuilt (dont have specific's on that) with a Weisco piston, runs real stong. Everything works on it, still has original plastic and seat (in good shape), seems to have been well cared for. Any areas that need to be checked on that I am missing? Also, were does the overflow tube from the carb drain, does that just vent to the back of the crankcase area or what?
TIA

My overflow carb. tube just ends back by the rear shock linkage. It doesn't connect to anything. If the carb overflows you want the fuel to hit the ground without contacting anything that is hot. The only thing I can say is make sure the airfilter is on properly. Use some grease where it meets the airbox to make sure you have a good seal. Ride the machine and enjoy it!!!
