Has anyone setup their Banshee for MX? I have an '89 Shee and would like to set it up more for MX. The obvious upgrades are the suspension, a-arms, and axle width. Is it possible to get new extended a-arms for the '89, which had the J-arms? If anybody has done this, please let me know the complications and cost involved.

Try K&K atv they have decent selection of a-arms and axles and almost anything else you would want. I have the lone star a-arms +2/+1,swing arm -2, and axle +2 and havent had any trouble in the two years that I have ridden with them check out kandkatv.com.

Sure I am there. #63 I ride the Banshee with Moto-Fast pipe. Should be there saturday for the next race. I noticed on some earlier post that you are trying to sell the Banshee and get an "R". My friend swithed from a Banshee to an "R" and really liked the switch, sayes the handeling is so much better. See ya this weekend look me up. I have the black f-150 4x and my friend has the 24' enclosed with the grey and red f-150.

Well I don't race much mx. But last winter I converted my 90 over to a-arms and am running some lonestar +2 arms and works dual rate shocks. It handles and turns a 110% better!! I used a kit from some place in Az, I can't remember the name. If you have any fab skills it can easily be done. Or maybe look into a new frame. Instead of it pushing in turns, it carves them out. I think there are places that make wider J-arms. But I'd switch to a-arms.

Ryan's right. The A-Arm and shock setup would be 110% better. But, if you don't want to spend the money for the conversion, call Denton Racing.. They have J arms!
