plowin with a warrior
#1
My brother wants a warrior. I want a 2002 griz. WE need a fourwheeler to plow snow with. He said get chains and he can use a warrior. i told him he was full of it. I could barely do it with a 4-wheel drive quadrunner 250. don't have a plow for a king quad. Cause my dad has the quadrunner. What do you thing. The drive way is gravel and on a hill.

I don't know how much snow y'all get in W. VA. but I have heard that the only problem w/ using a Warrior to plow is getting traction. I would say that since you have a gravel drive, that you shouldn't have much of a problem w/ that. Especially if you try to plow going down hill.
I think I am going to get a plow for mine this winter also even though I don't have a huge need for it. It would be nicer than shoveling the 16+ inches of snow that I had in my drive last winter.

I wouldn't put a plow on mine. I have a hard time pulling the kids on a sled around the back yard. The tires on it are 22" Maxxis Razr's. The snow piles up under the rear skid plate. The Warrior might work with dry snow, but wet snow would stop it. A good compromise would be a Wolverine. Same motor as the Warrior, a lot lighter than the Griz, and cheaper than the Griz. Use the money you save to pay for the plow, chains, a pipe (WB E-Series W/ 12 discs), etc. Sometimes (winter mostly) I wish I'd gotten a Wolverine.

dude if you have a 2wd that wont move in the snow, all i can say is get a really good set of mud tires. i put super swamper vampire 25x13.5x9's on the back of my honda fourtrax 300 2wd utility and it was a total change from stock. i could go just about anywhere. i could go better than stock tired 4x4's in forward. i also plowed with it. i used to have to turn around at the bottom of my drive way to go back up the hill because the plow took the weight off the back end. well once i put the vampires on i could easily back up the hill without even spinning. lets just say it made a huge improvement and made it pretty much unstoppable. i didnt even try airing the tires down. i ran them hard so i can imagine the results could have been better.
and dont wuss out and go with blackwaters or mud sharks, get the real thing, vampires, outlaws, ect. get a cheap set of wheels so you can put them on in the winter. i would get tall ones like 25.
