My banshee currently has a stock airbox with the PRo Design proflow and K&N. It has some holes cut into the top of the lid. I am wondering if 2 K&N,s clamped directly to the carbs, will flow much more air than my current setup to make it worth the expense? The reason I ask is this joker whom I have beat a few times racing up hill, only into about third gear, claims that we have never raced and he wants to race for some cash to topend into 6th. If I beat him, I suppose that will pay for the air cleaners, but I need to know if It is worth the effort. Thanks

When you race him just take the airbox lid off. That should do the trick!

I agree...unless you ride in totally dry conditions all the time...do not waste money on the filters right off the carb.
Take your lid off and jet accordingly. I have the k&n setup without the airbox lid..it made a big difference once jetted properly. Even with no lid it gets sketchy if things are wet.

Right on,
I ran without the lid and upped my jetting, both the main and needle and I came out on top AGAIN, but the best part is, about 20 some people saw it happen so no more denials! At any rate. the moral of the story is, DONT DO PORTING UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!! the guy who did his "porting" was pretty pissed that my machine with bolt ons beat his handiwork so convincingly. I also found out the guy has the Vito power piston setup. Thanks for the replies..

Hey RoostKing, it also helps that you are only 4 feet tall and weigh about 80 pounds.

No. I have pictures on my site of you getting whooped up on by me and a Bombardier. If you actually beat me, you would have some pics on your site to prove it, right???

Look here for proof near the bottom of the page:

Actually, you did beat me after you fixed your jetting just so everybody knows. You just need to post some evidence of it.
