I pulled the baffle out of the stock pipe on my 2001 Warrior today. When I run it like this will it cause a lean condition, a rich condition or will it be the same as when the baffle was in?

You will probably start running richer maybe fouling plugs faster.I know my old xr 80 ran alot richer when i took a tiny little plate off of the bottum of the silencer. So urs should be pretty rich.

You may be rich...may be lean...all depends on what conditions you are in. On most honda's, taking the S/A plater off the bottom will richen it up, due to the type of system they have, but taking the Baffle out of my 400ex made it run a tiny bit leaner.

What's considered the baffle on the Warriors exhaust? How does it come out? I don't have a Warrior anyway, but my friend does...is it supposed to improve performance or anything? Obviously it won't be twice as fast or anything, but I was just wondering. Thanks for the info.

On my 99 warrior I've been runnin it without a baffle for about a year and a half. I haven't notice an horsepower gain and it hasn't run any richer than it did befor, now I run a different pie.
just my 2 cents

I figured I would give it a try. I started the quad like that but haven't really taken it for a good ride. Don't know if it will give any horsepower gains or it might actually be less horsepower due to no backpressure to pull the exhaust gases out of the cylinder. I will know more tomorrow after I take it for a ride. It is a little louder but not as loud as I expected.

Rode the Warrior today. Checked the plug as soon as I got home. Same color as before I left. That means I'm not gaining any horsepower nor losing any horsepower either. So since it sounds better without the baffle and I'm not riding in the woods I'll leave it out for now.
