Warrior valve adjustment
#2
If they are not tapping I would not mess with them. My 88 was tapping real bad when I bought it. I adjusted the valves the other night. You need to remove the front fenders and gas tank to get to the valve covers. Put the machine on Top Dead Center, You need to align the marks on the cam sprocket (you need to remove the cam sprocket cover on the side of the cylinder)with the cylinder head arrow, while at the same time aligning the T mark on the flywheel window(remove the plug on the top of the crankcase on the shifter side). The rear valve cover is the intake (on the carb side). It measures at largest aloted gap at .0039 inch. You need a feeler guage. Once you remove the valve cover you will see the rocker and valve. Slide your guage between them. If it needs adjusted loosen the 10mm bolt, then by hand adjust the square 4mm bolt down till it is rubbing on the guage. Retighten the 10mm locking bolt, double check with guage, and the intake is done. Same on the exhaust valve, I believe the gap there is up to .0078. Make sure to grease the O-rings and bolts on the covers when reinstalling. Hope this quick overview helps.

Hey Blasterairman, were at in KY are you? I will be riding out by Fort Knox area on Thursday. I live just outside of Louisville, in Taylorsville. If you are close enough maybe we can get together some time to ride. If you cant find the exact specs for your valves let me know, I will look them up just to be sure.
