Here's the problem and I would like to know if you have done a rejet and what sizes are you running and where your from.

No engine Mods.
Pro-Flo Filter / air box mods / OuterWare
CT Complete Pipe
K&N Power Kit

Stock main jets were 140/145
Pilot Jet 22
Ohio 3000 above sea level

After filter and pipe
Pilot 22
Main Jet 150/155

After a run, the plug was white and the head pipe was glowing. Popping and cracking during up and down throttle.

Then we installed:
Pilot 25
Main Jet 195/200

This setup runs better and plugs still a little white. The K&N Kit only goes up to 160 the rep from K&N told me. And they only offer a Stage 2 kit.

If it's running a 195/200 now in 95degree temps, what's going to happen when it gets 20 degress out and we want to ride.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Ill help you. When Raptors first came out and people started putting pipes on them they were advised to stay in the 150-155 range, but it turned out that the jetting needed to be higher, especially if you were running a free-flow air filter with no lid. I have the complete BG system and the Pro-Design filter kit with no lid on the air box. I am running a 165,170 on the main jets and 27.5 on the pilots and it runs perfect in all weather, everything from 20 degrees and 30% humidity all the way to 100 degrees and 95% humidity. I have a few friends with Raptors and they are running the CT pipe and the Sparks, all with no lid on the air box and the same jetting that I am and thiers run very well also, I myself think you are way to lean and should at least go to a 160,165 jetting with 27.5 pilots, this will be a good starting point and you can work your way from there, but I think it is going to be very close if not right on the money, anyhow, hope this helps.

No2Stroke,
How can you say it's running lean? Your at a 160/165 and their at a 195/200. At 160/165 we had a very white plug and a glowing red head pipe. Lower means Leaner, their running a lot richer setting than you are. And if you can running from 20 to 100 degrees. Than your jetted right in the middle and running lean in the winter and rich in the summer. Remember every 30 degrees means a main jet change if your tuning for performance. And 20 degrees or so on your needle.

I remember a few days jetting twice, mid-day and back in the evening.

Sorry, I guess I only read the first paragraph of your question. i dont know what to tell you if you are running 195,200 jets and it still appears lean. That is hard to imagine with so few mods unless you live on top of Pikes Peak. And you are causing yoursef a lot of unnecessary work if you are re-jetting every time the temp changes 30 degrees. 4-strokes are not near as picky about jetting as 2-strokes are, and the change in performance will be minimal if any. Usually you take a average temp of your climate and jet for that, unless you have extreme cold and extreme heat in the same enviornment. Also, I am not familiar with the K@N jet numbers and how they relate to regular jets.

NEW DS, I have a White Bros air filter, big gun head pipe and white bros e-series silencer. Also have 4 1inch vents on the lid on the air box. I am running 160/165 mains with 27.5 pilots. I also have lower the clip on the needles one spot to raise the needles up a bit. My bike runs great in all weather like this. One other thing, make sure use are using Mikuni jets and not the k&n type or dyno-jet type as their sizes run quite differenly. Ex: a dyno-jet 145 may be the same size as a Mikuni 160.

hope this helps.

the easiest way to deal with this problem is to go out and get the dynojet jet kit and follow the instructions. That's what I did and it works great. I also have 2 other friends that did the same, and they have had good luck with this also.

I am also rejetting, and having similar results - 155 160, 1 1/4 past stock air screw, stock pilot/needle. I'm going to try 165 170, 27.5 & lower the clip.
Thanks for the helpful info everyone.
