How powerful is the 2002 Griz?

Hambone says about the 650, "terrible ride handels like a Ford explorer with one flat tire"
Sorry you didn't like the 650. The one you rode probably did have a flat. Mine handles similar to my 400 ex. I chose the 650 over the grizz, but I'm not going to rip it apart. I really like the grizz.

hey jeffoxr Hell man im not ripping apart the 650 Kawi. the motor in the 650 is awesome it definitley has more torque then the new Grizz it just doesent ride or handle as well. The IRS on the grizzly will not take the abuse the straight axle on the 650 will. The rear brake on the 650 is absolutely fantastic. I hope you can forgive my transgression, Please reply soon so I can once again get a good nights sleep. HA-Ha Hambone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Well fellas, I went to the Dealership to ride the new grizzly, but was out of luck. They were completely sold out and did not even have one on the showroom. The salesman said they got their first seven in last week, and had them gone by the next day. O'well guess I'll just have to wait, I wanted the silver griz anyway. He said they would be getting them in around late september.

Man this is one fast smooth riding machine I still have it all stock and the power should be more than needed, I say should be cause I haven't run across the situation where I needed more yet. 150 miles and no water problems with sputtering and no wet belt, I don't know what they did to mine that they didn't do to everyone elses but I can't find the water hole that makes this thing miss yet. Although first thing I did do was put some dielectic grease on plug, I don't think you would be dissapointed and the new locking option is fantastic it's now second nature and I don't have to look what I'm doing just push the button.

I didn't have the opportunity to take the grizz on the type of riding I like to do. It may be better or worse than the 650, I won't know until I drive one like that. For now though I am very impressed at the fact that this monster handles as well as it does, and I'm used to a 400ex. I have also gotten some serious air with the 650. I'm not sure if IRS is good for jumping or not since I haven't tried it. One of the things I liked about the 650 was the fact that I measured that the 650 rear axle is 2" wider. If yamaha widened the rear axle it would probably help. Did they make the Raptor's wider for 2002? The guys at the dealer also said the grizz vibrates a lot more than the 650. Have you found that to be true or not?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Bansheeboy.... Here the story.. on here, you can't see sarcasm, so you have to do something in order to show that you are joking. Otherwise it is impossible to tell. No, I don't think I owe you an apology, and no you aren't getting one, but at the same time I want to say that if you'd made it clear that you were joking, then you wouldn't have gotten the comment that I made.
I will say that I'm sorry I didn't catch you sarcasm, but I still stand behind my comment.
