Removing airbox on my blaster!!!

I was thinking of removing the airbox on the blaster. i heard it really helps the performance of it. is there any riskd to it and also is there any other free mods i can do myself to improve the performance of it> well thanx! ttyl cya

I did it to my Blaster and it helped a little bit, hardly noticeable. The one thing I did like about it is the fact that it made it a lot easier to change the jetting and work on the carborator.

Did you really left the Blaster with out the airbox ?? You better have an eye on the dirt !!
If you didn´t put a bigger mainjet , you are not only going to feel no difference, but you are going to burn the pistons !!!
Be carefull !!

Well unfortunately, i couldnt get the bolts off of the airbox. since i just ordered a k and k filter i dont know how i willget it on. the bolts are nearly stripped[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] i also ordered outerwears so i could run without the airbox. how do you change the mainjet?

The main jet is in the float bowl, which is why I don't understand how removing the lid could make it easier to jet????
If you stripped the screws, you may have cut of the head of the screw and remove the other screw in the bottom of the fender and replace both.

Grab the head of the screw with a good set of vise grips to remove. Replace them with allen head screws avalible at most hardware stores.
If you dont feel a difference when pulling the airbox lid off a blaster then you didnt rejet.

Ok i jus ordered a K&N oil filter w/ outerwears (to run without the airbox) and some FMF torque reeds. but i hope i can get the lid off!!!
