Used Warrior
#1
A guy down the street from me has a '96 Warrior for sale and it is $2800. This would be my first quad I was wondering if this is a good price, what I need to know if it is a good buy, and what to look for. I stopped by, but he was still at work and only his wife was home. From what I could tell it looked like it was completely stock.

Matt,
If your still interested in this Warrior.
id say it sounds like a good price.
first look at all the plastic and the front bumper for dents and scratches then determine to your self if they are riding dents and scratches or crashing or rolling.
Then get under it and look by the oil drain plug. see if its clean or not check the case seams for dirty leaks.
Next take off the seat and look at the air box lid if its clean the filter is probably clean as well but it dont hurt to take the lid off and look at the air filter as well.
Now start it up.
Does it start ok?
Did you need full choke half choke no choke?
if its a warm day you should only need half choke.
Test the revers lever make sure it dont stick.
if you can take it for a put put around the yard. ride it in reverse to.
carefuly watch your tires to see if any rims or axles are bent.
Now if you realy like it and want it BUY IT just remember no one made you buy it but your self!
OH yeah go to www.kbb.com and look up going prices retail and trade in and expect to pay anything in between!
Good luck and have fun
