Make that two of us. I'm looking for a pipe that will meet MI's 2002 94dB limit at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, but still provide a nice boost for MX.

I just got a FMF Power Core IV "Q" off E-Bay (It's new, not used). I should have it in tommorrow. I'll post on how it preforms.

The Oregon Dunes are 93dB, so I'm looking too. Saw & heard an FMF. It seemed quiet enough, but it didn't sound good to me. Sounded like more of a two stroke. No low rumbling like a 4-stroke should sound like.

Add on page 44 of the Sep Dirt Wheels has an add for the Big Gun. The Quiet series is designed to 94dB and guaranteed quiet for 2 years without repacking. They've had good reviews and I'm thinking about getting that one - although it is 1dB higher than the limit.

there is a company that makes this thing for street bikes that attachtes o your silencer and disrupts the sound waves making it much much quieter. i would imagine it would work for atv exhaust too. however i don't know anything else about this dohickey.

Ok, I got this pipe for my Raptor. It doesn't really add much power to your bike. It adds a little, and it's noticeable (barely), but it does add some. It's a little louder than stock, and it does have a different sound to it. I personally don't like the sound, but that's just my taste. One thing I noticed is that in the documentation that comes with it it says that you need to repack the silencer every 20-30 hours of riding. That's BS. I'm sending this pipe back and putting my stock pipe back on.
