I am thinking about buying a 2000 300EX or Warrior. I have heard that the Warrior can only beat a 300EX in a drag race and otherwise a 300EX is better. I am 5'10" and weigh 169 lbs. I plan to do mostly trail riding, and no racing. Thanks for and comments!!!!!

Here is what you should do. Go to the dealer and drive both of them. See what one you like better and purchase that machine. It is cool that you are asking this question on this BBS. But I don't think that you will get a strait answer here because everyone is so brand loyal. I ride a "00" 300EX, and I love it. But that doesen't make it the right machine for you, just because I like it. Check it out for yourself. One thing that I can tell you is. DirtWheels magazine and 4-Wheel ATV Action magazine both rated the 300EX the best woods quad ever. Just some food for thought.

I agree with Chris, don't make your decision based on the opinions of people in this forum. I am not loyal to any brand when it comes to the big four, (Honda, Kawie, Suzuki, and Yamaha.) Before I bought my Warrior I considered, Honda 300EX, Kawasaki Mojave, and the Warrior. The reason I chose the Warrior is follows: more power throughout the powerband, more engine aftermarket potential, sixth gear, slightly longer wheelbase, but my main reason was I felt cramped on the 300EX. On my Warrior their is a ton of room to move around, and I feel like I have much more control. I am slightly taller than you but not as heavy.(5'11'', 155 lbs) Like Chris said, you have to ride both and pick the one you like best. Both are excellent machines, that are proven to be rock solid reliable. Good luck and let us know which you choose.
