I have a '94 Warrior that burns a bit of oil at startup for about a minute. This only happens in the morning, after it sits for about 12 hours. I have been told that it is most likely worn valve seals, as this would explain why it only burns after it has been sitting for a long time. I am pretty sure it isn't the rings because it had a top end rebuild in January of last year. Other than this it runs great. What do you guys think this could be?

Valve seals are the most likely canidate, however valve clearance is another small possibility. Make sure the clearance isn't too tight. That too will make the valves leak as soon as your engine warms up.
