Why would you want to change it?

Sure Curtis Sparks got a ignition advance key. I put one on mine and it made it a little peppier and it only cost 15$. I think it is sparksracing dot com. It's a 7 degree advance/retard. CIO

What was required to install that Timing key? Did it come with a flywheel puller, or do you even need one? Was it worth the time, and $15?

Thanks for the info.,
Dan

I installed the Sparks key and did not notice any increase of power or torque on a built engine. Dyno results could not confirm any increase -- perhaps it helps a stocker.

On the 49 state vs the Calif CDI box, teh 49 state provides slightly more advance in top end and would be good on a stocker. The Calif CDI is actually better on a built or stroker engine

G'day Magnus, its been quite a long project, i hope its worth the effort.
Ive got a garret T2 turbo, custom headers and exhaust, intercooler that is cooled by the fuel, injection is by a Aussie company called EMS which is controlling two injectors and soon will be controlling the timing as well by the looks of things, throttle body is custom made sitting before the turbo due to lack of room and hopefully by the end of next week it should be producing some decent horsepower !

all this after we failed to tune it successfully on the original carbys , i dont think those carbys like being pressurized.
