I recently switched from a 13 teeth front to a 12 teeth front. I must say it has DRAMATICALLY improved the performance. On my local track with the stock gearing I was mainly in 2nd gear with 3rd gear on the straights. Now with the 12 teeth sprocket I can even roll around in 3rd gear while hitting 4th on the straights. It seems to make the power smoother yet quicker. I don't seem to be on the clutch anymore than I would be with stock gearing either. There is one drawback however, if its dry and dusty you tend to get alot more wheel spin then you would with the stock gearing. You learn to deal with that by throttle control though. I'm running stock tires now but have plans for a set of razrs so everything may change again. With my set-up now I can pull away from more than piped Banshees on the track, not saying i can on straight line racing though. It's a cheap but VERY effective gain, just don't go too cheap, buy a good brand like renthal or another top name, not just whats available. Keep us updated!

I use a 12/40 setup on mine, it really helps the low end and I like it on some of the bigger hill climbs, on the long straights though my buddy with his stock 13/40 leaves me behind and I have to eat dust, thats ok since I feed him rocks in the 1/4 mile. definatly a good and cheap mod
