Warrior Throttle
#1
I took my Warrior to get serviced and when I brought it home i started having problems. If you have it in neutral and hit the gas real quick it will bog way down and sometimes cut off, but it wont do that if you ride it for awhile.

The thing with the Warrior is that it takes a long time for the 350cc to warm up. Make sure you are using the choke. I have to use the choke everytime I start it so as to keep a high idle and let the motor heat up. Also, be sure your parking brake is not on. There are rumors around that if you have the parking break on while in neutral and you hit the gas the motor kind of sputters. Your dealer is aware of this and can rectify the issue right away. It has something to do with the wires going to that assembly near the clutch.

1Bad Warrior,
the other person was partially right..my Warrior is rather cold-blooded also, & I have had the same hesitation when snapping the throttle open & still do to some extent. You might check you air mix screw.. 2 turns out is spec but a little more might help. Truthfully every Warrior I have ever tried has had the same hesitation off idle. I'd bet you had it before, only now since you just paid hard cash for service you're more conscious of little details
.
As to the rumor re the parking brake...it is no rumor there is a rev limiter connected to the parking brake when it's on as a reminder to release it. It actuates at 2000rpms, I believe. The best thing you can do with that is take that knife edged brake lock off & toss it. It's an accident waiting to happen & I have the scar on the inside of my forearm to prove it.

Well, a brand new Warrior does the same thing at times too. I warmed it up this morning for about 10 minutes and it ran fine, until I rode down the road before jumping onto a dirt trail...only went about 1/4 mile before it started sputtering and would not run below about 3000 rpm (I'm guessing here). It was acting as if it wasn't getting enough fuel, but I had a full tank so I fiddled with the pilot air screw thinking I could smooth it out, but finally just got on a rode it out. After about 3-5 minutes, all was fine. Go figure... BTW, this is on a new machine that's completely stock!

2000_Warrior_350 the problem you are talking about could be the parking brake locking. I was riding mine around a dirt track with so jumps and bumps in it. And when I went over a bump my Warrior also starting sputtering. So I stopped and adjusted the parking brake and then set the brake and then released it. When I hit the throttle to go it was fine.

1Bad...I think you may be onto something here, but my Warrior starting acting up on two different occasions. Once after warming it up and then heading for the trail (my thought was that I had "semi loaded it up"), and the other after running a MX track for about 5 minutes. After taking a few jumps it sputtered and jerked for a 1/2 mile before I parked and shut it off and I set the brake...and after checking for anything obvious unlocked the brake and it ran fine. Imagine how pissed I was yesterday when I couldn't figure out why my new...barely a month old...Warrior was acting up. I've also noticed the lock button isn't as crisp as when new, and it doesn't unlock quickly either. To eliminate this problem I think I'll look into the possibility of rewiring the parking brake to eliminate the 2300 rpm cutoff.
