Are Dirt Devil tires any good for snow ??
#1
I can't decide whether to get pure mud tires like Goodyear Mudrunners or Titan 589's for the snow rather than Dirt Devils which look like they will work well and are cheaper. (long sentence)
Anyone have experience with the Dirt Devils in the snow??
How much have you gone through and how well??
Anyone know if large lug pure mud tires dig too much for snow, or just right??
Thanks.

I bought a set of Dirt Devil's for my Grizz, in my opinion there one of the best "all around" tires you can buy. Be it mud, soft or hardpack, price and ride comfort, no more vibration then that of the stock ones from what I've been hearing. You have a 6-ply "rating", although I think it might be a 4-ply tire based on it's weight. I'm going to have 26 X 10-12's all around, they weigh 22.7 lb's. each, not bad! The price at Dennis Kirk is by far the best when you factor in the shipping, it's free!
As far as snow, I think there going to be a good snow thread, reversing them is exactly what riders do with Realtors. The thread in it's normal direction of travel will want to bite through whatever it's on, by reversing it, now it will compress, in this case the snow. The "only" possible drawback to this tire that can can forsee is that if you do severe rock crawling, the sidewall doesn't have the protection that a few others makes have. Now if you want that sort of tire, a heavy lug sidewall, these are ultra-aggressive tires, you will sacrifice ride quality and steering to some degree.
