California Warrior Different?

After reading some of the posts about rejetting after filter and pipe upgrades, a few of them suggest raising/lowering the needle. I remember reading somewhere though...I think it was in Tech Connection...that Warriors sold in California don't have the typical needle jet, and instead require "washers" to richen/lean the mixture from mid to full throttle. Has anyone heard about this or have any experience with jetting/adjusting the carb on a CA Warrior? TIA, Jeff

Usually the California version will have a canister mounted on the down bar, according to the service manual to my Yamaha TW200 motorcycle. To the best of my knowledge the carb has always remained the same.
