Hey Skydog, sounds great, How do you like the ct kit, now that you have been running it for awhile?

Do they compensate for altitude when you order, by like giving you different jets. I live at about 6000 ft and ride usually between 3000-7000 ft and the ocasional trip to the dunes getting pretty low in altitude.

What would be your take on the altitude issue?

Do you feel the ct kit is making the power they show on their dyno sheet?

Any info is appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

Yeah you prolly need to run a little bit richer at that altitude. I run at the coast 170/175 mains and it seems to run perfact, In fact I just got back today and it was running sweet! I out pulled my friends Banshee on the "Face" (a hill) that he just had work done to and tied my brothers Banshee! I also beat a LT500 & 250, 250R, many 400ex's, many Banshees, and all the Raptors! I was pretty excited!!

Oh yeah, Skydog, didn't you notice that it was running lean? If you were running that lean you should notice it pretty easy! When mine was running lean it wouldn't accellerate past 3rd gear. You better make sure that you did the plug test right before putting those bigger jets in.

I dont know that the kit is making the kind of power they clam but it sure did add some.I think on there H.P. numbers the stock Raptor is jetted lean.I think they pulled most of the H.P. numbers from jetting and the air box off, and a little form head pipe and muffler. But most form jetting. Hey Darren thankyou for your input going out with some bigger jetts today (offwork YES!) i will let you know. THANKYOU GUYS Skydog

Well was out testing went with 180-185 mains and it ran real bad down low was real fat and still lean up top!!??So i talk to CT and they were not very help full to say the least! But a guy at F.S.T. pointed me the right way.He said i need to change the needles that he has run in to the same problem on a lot of modded Raptors he said get the KNN or Dynojet jett kit comes with new needes and mains(mains and needles diffarnt than stock) So i ordered it shold be hear in two days.I will let you know what happens! Yeah, I have that kit and let me tell you, don't hold your breath it's a waste of money! If you don't have an airbox lid it wont work because they don't give you big enough jets and if you use bigger jets that they don't supply with it the mid range runs VERY rich and cuts out bad!! I just ended up going back to the stock needles at #4 and 170/175 mains. Thought I might let you know about that. Hope it works better for you!
