Hmm...Well like I said earlier I'm at about 400ft so it might be a little different. I went ahead and tried to get that jet kit going to prove myself wrong about how well it works yesterday after I wrote that post. Before I had the jet kit in I was running 170/175 mains, stock needle on the fourth clip, and stock pilot turned out 3 turns. I ran that at my house and at the coast and it ran great! Buut...yesterday I wanted to give that jetkit another try (the only reason I didn't is because the biggest jet it came with is a 150 which is pretty small compared to a 175 so I figured it wouldn't run) so I put the jetkit in and it ran great! I have everything that comes with the kit in my Raptor, 148/150 mains, dynojet needle (wayyyy smaller than stock) on fourth clip, and pilot turned out 3 full turns. I ran this out in out in our field for a while and it ran great, I figured it would run reallllly lean but it didn't. My guess is because of that smaller needle it doesn't restrict fuel flow into the main jet so it can take full advantage of it. The stock needle is really fat and I'm sure restricts fuel flow to the main jet and doesn't allow a bigger jet to use all the fuel that it was made to. Before I had just parts of the jetkit (needle, slide springs and the pilot turned out 3) installed teamed with the 170/175 mains and it ran sooooo rich in the midrange but seemed like it went fine on the top and bottom. I tried to tune it with the needle in there but it wouldn't ever work so I went back to the stock needle and it ran great. So now you can see why I didn't like the jetkit, but I was to stupid to think about it and realize the needle was made to work together with all the parts that it came with including the small mains. If I were you I'd give it a try I'm sure it will run good. So there ya go thats my jetting story hope it helped you out at least a little cause I'm gonna be late for school now
