I have a 1999 Grizzly with 1,700 miles on it. For the past two months I've been trying to troubleshoot its problem. After the engine warms up intermittently the ATV sputters and stalls while in reverse. Any one else ever have this problem? If so what was the cause?

Yes I have had this problem but it only happened when I disconnected the speed sensor. It would pop and sputer until I hooked the sensor back.Maybe I disconected the wrong wire.It was about a foot below the speedometer and their was only 2 wires one black with blue sripe other red withblue stripe.

I disconnected my speed sensor after this problem with my reverse sputtering and stalling, and experienced no change. The speed sensor monitors the rpms, load, etc. There's a white connector about a foot below the speedometer that contains two wires. Disconnecting the connector disables the speed sensor.
