I just bought a used 2001 Wolverine yesterday and it runs and handles great.
Only thing is when I the engine is holding back there is a noticeable whine.
Sounds like it may be coming from transmission but cant be for sure.
Is this normal for the Wolverine or is something wrong.
If this is not normal any ideas what is wrong.

I have a 2001 Wolverine and mine does the same thing. I am not saying that there is or isn't somthing wrong. I haven't done anything about it for a while and i haven't seen any problems.

My '96 Wolverine does it too... and so does my brother's '98. I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about... I think it's just the sound the gears make. The reason you can hear it on some bikes, and not others is probably because different people use different oils in their engines.
