I need some shocks for an 87 warrior. I don't want to spend a whole lot because I will be getting a new quad soon and the 87 warrior will become a spare. What I and really asking is will 96 warrior shocks fit in an 87 warrior? Same idea with a stock pipe?

Yes, the shocks and pipes are inter-changeable. You chould be able to put any year shocks of a Warrior on any other Warrior, no matter what the year may be.

mohs87,
Your post seemed to indicate that you have some 97 shocks available, so the quickest way to answer the question would be to try them on. If they fit, great, you know for sure.
The other thing you could do to know for sure is to call any Yamaha dealer and have him check the micro-fische or comp.
