warrior question

Not really. You could put some different tires on it, but I doubt that would help much. That's just how a warrior feels... (Especially '87 and '88 Warriors. They moved the engine back a bit in the frame in '89.) I wouldn't worry about it. Ride it a little bit and you'll get use to it.

LOL you guys have no idea! The Warrior is a very well built quad, its built way better than the 400ex. Feels like a tank lol you guys obviously haven't ridden it much or ridden at all to even know! It's one of the best trail quads made! I had a Warrior for years it's a great quad (of course the engine was hella built ) and I never found one problem! Maybe you should atcually ride the quad and get the feel for it before you make stupid assumptions. Have fun on your ***** 400ex when your breaks go out!

Listen Big Boobie,
Before I bought my 400EX I stopped by the local Yam shop and I mentioned I was concerned with the lack of performance out of my Warrior. They flat out admitted that Hondas are more reliable. I had to give them kudos for being honest. They said they have had a number of the 36 Craptors they sold come back in for various maintenance issues but nothing drastic. But I am not bashing a Raptor here. I am bashing the Warrior, which I have. I've been riding for 17 years boy. Sure the Warrior is OK, but very outdated and very clunky. Is it better than a 85' Honda 200S or a LT185 Suzuki three wheeler? Sure. But compare it to a Mojave, a 300EX, a 400EX, etc., etc. Get real boy.
In ending though, my Warrior is one hell of a boat anchor.

Freakystone,
When I roll by and your stuck in between two trees because your brakes gave out and your looking for someone to pull you out because you have no reverse I'll just LAUGH!!!!! And who came up with the seat and plastic being one piece. I've seen people spend 30 min trying to get every thing back together after changing the air filter. Oh and don't forget about the lack of low end torque that the 400cc Honda motor exhibits on those long + tall hill climbs.

Hey Elton John, This is great... Arguing with dense, homosexual, bull headed morons who truth be known would love to have the ***** to ride a 400EX. You obviously have never ridden one. And since I dont ride anywhere near the "steers and queers" state of Texas, it doesnt matter if you dont pull me out. I bet your boyfiend doesnt want you to pull it out either.

Your family must be really proud of your maturity and professional attitude. I suppose you walk your kids to school in the morning since your both in the same grade or at least share the same child like demeanor. And correct me if I’m wrong but you just picked up your 400EX a few weeks ago and already took it back because
“You have to slow down and play the clutch a bit but it simply wont let you. I tried crossing some old RR tracks the other night and since I needed a slower speed the darn thing keep clanking and dieing. I Much have had to start it 15 times before I go over the tracks. Sound strange to you? ”
I really like that Honda reliability don’t you? All quads will have their problems but the Warrior has stood the test of time. And I would have to say that my dealer has went out of their way to do anything they could to help me. Now what did you have to say about your Honda dealer ?
“I took it back to the Honda dealer last night and since they are in the middle of a big city there was no where to open it up and get it warm so they didnt know what I was talking about. They tinkered with the clutch cable and said try that. I was kind of pissed.”
And as far as the state comment, I’m not even going to go there, but tell me what it’s like for your father in law to be your uncle also. I guess thats one less gift to give.

Bubba-I rode a Warrior for years too, and I was never so happy as the day I got rid of that thing!! Yamaha is just insulting us by continuing to market that tired old thing!! It's the size and weight of a Raptor, but with less power, bad suspension, and bad ergonomics. But hey, as long as uninformed people keep buying them, why not.

2001atv,
That is funny that you brought up the fender configuration of a 400EX. I was an owner of a 400EX and the things that I really liked about it was the handling, that's about it. I dreaded putting on the rear fender after replacing/cleaning the air filter and the choke is in a terrible spot as well. It still is a nice bike though. Everyone has their own opinions, that's why there are many manufacturers out there.
I have also owned 3 Warriors and all 3 of them were excellent machines. I sold them because I wanted a little more power.
