raptor for $1,000 !!!!!!!!!!!

My neighbor told me about a friend of his that was killed on his 2001 Raptor. The boys brother is selling it for $1,000 just to get rid of it. The boy was an amateur and hit a stop sign going about 70 mph, so of course the quad has some damage. From what I heard, it flipped several times and the fenders are broken, axle is bent, and wheels are bent. I'm sure there are other problems too, but for $1,000, that's a good deal. Should i buy it? What are your opinions?

Just pray that the luck streak doesnt carry on. THat would be kinda freaky though... Someone died on the quad you would be riding. But for $1,000, I think I could deal with it.. I feel sorry for the kid that died, having a wreck on a quad is no fun at all, much less with that outcome..

I know it is kind of freaky, but I plan on having it inspected by myself,as well as my local yamaha shop. I didn't include the key to that story. The kid that was killed was not wearing a helmet, and he was on the street. I like to occasionally ride down the street too, but I always where a helmet.I can deal with riding a quad that someone died on. It was his foolishness that got him killed. I take all of the necessary safety precautions when riding. It's not worth risking your life to ride without a helmet.
