can anyone tell me the good and bad points on these little quads?I just bought one for my son and it seems to be a great little machine.

Geez, I guess nobody wants to talk about the Breeze eh? I'll take a shot at it. First, all these mini-quads have lousy suspension, so that's a given. But the Breeze has a nice wide stance, BIG balloon tires, and Reverse! A respectable Yamaha 125 4-stroke engine and an easy to use Auto tranny. Small enough for kids but big enough for adults to putz around.
....... How old is your kid? Make sure he always wears a helmet. Ride with him at least untill he starts trying to pass you!
.....The Kasea 150 looks pretty cool, except for the manual clutch 5-speed. It has 7 inches of travel in the front dual A-arm suspension.
.......That's what I'm shooting for with the Blaster parts I'm going to put on the Raptorette 80 I'm getting for my youngest in a couple of weeks.
.......Typical of the lot, the Raptorette may have the worst front suspension in all of ATVdom. SO I am going to copy the front of a Blaster frame and weld it onto the front of this brand new Raptorette!
.....This will be the stuff of many posts, so I won't go into any more here, but I am going for a wider, lower, slower, smoother mini. Then once he gets the hang of it, he'll get a little more throttle, and then finally, the shift lever, 'cause I'm going to put it in first gear and take the shift lever off. The electric start will start the Raptorette in any gear of the 3-speed auto clutch set-up.
.....This may seem like a radical approach, it is. The young lad won't be 5 till April, and his PowerWheels Kawasaki doesn't have enough "juice".

MY son Cody is 9 and he has been riding 4 wheelers and dirt bikes since he was 5.He started on a Eton Impuls 50cc.He motoxed it till he wrecked real bad breaking both arms. Then he decided 4 wheelers were too dangerous and wanted a dirt bike got him a PW80.Good first bike but he couldnt go through the sand or woods too good.now we got him a breeze not raceable but seems to do ok in sand and trails+ he can keep up on the roads and i dont have to stop and help him turn around. And i wont let him touch it without full rideing gear boot helmet, chestprotecter, gloves.I try to set an example by doing the same when i ride.Hope this Breeze turns out to be a better one than the Eton always had to work on the carb. Do you really like Blasters?I had a VERY BAD experience with the one i had it loved money. Thanks for the input Brad

I am not all that impressed with Blasters, but they are a lot of bang for the buck. Their front suspension, with 7 inches of travel, is real quad stuff, unlike the minis or even the Breeze. And there are enough hot rod Blasters out there that there are lots of abandoned stock components that have been replaced by aftermarket goodies. That means I found a set of Blaster A-arms, hubs, brakes and cables for $125. That means this modification has a reasonable price tag. Add Tires and wheels, add shocks and springs, and whatever else, and I've got at least $3 Gs in this mini, or the price of a new Breeze or Blaster. Plus probably 40 hours in the transformation. I can't wait to get started!

I think for a boy his age a honda 80 or maybe even a raptor 80 will be more suitable. When he gets 12 he might feel more comfortable on a 250ex or something bigger.. Most dealers will probly put him on a much smaller machine cause of all the warnings but he'll feel better on something bigger.

this brings back fond memories. Iam 20 now but when i was 6 i started out on a breeze. rode alot wilder stuff since then but man did i have a blast. Great little bike although lousy suspension. I jumped mine so high once i busted my swingarm and rear shock! I got it fixed and now soon as my dad gets done restoring it my little brother is going to take it over.
