I have seen their 727 easily produce 70hp. They have also corrected the valve spring issue and make a great engine. In reality though, you may want to go with a 686 as it is nice for most racing and is awsome in the dunes or on the trails.

airraptor i cant help but to disagree with you about the stroker kit. A stroked motor slows the piston down at tdc and can if the crank is strong enough, the mains and the angle of the piston is not to great make a motor more reliable by causing less strain due to the longer stroke. If you think about it its impossible for a motor with more travel between the bottom to the top to increase speed, it takes more time to go the bigger difference. I may be wrong iam not totally familiar with raptor engine kits. I may be and propably are wrong please dont be affended iam just sort of curious how a stroker kit is causing more speed on the rotating assembly. Is it just that particular kit and its other mods? Like cam and ignition changes or do they "egg shape" the crank? Maybe it has a lightened flywheel. I dunno.

The 4mm stroker in the Raptor with the 105 piston makes huge torque but does not like high rpm. I prefer the 105mm on the stock stroke or the 102mm on stock stroke.

The longer throw exerts more force against the sides of the cylinder....adding more friction....slightly hurting top end rpms. This is why we typically see high rpm performance engines much "oversquare"...much more bore than stroke. Reminds me of a 302 sbc.

I would compare it to the 302sbf
Raptor720<< not a Chevy guy.

HaHa....hate to read that My '71 "Z" car has paired against it's fair share of the so-called "BOSS" cars....hehe. As you probably know, all in fun.
