for chain tension, have your buddy sit on the quad then adjust the chain so that there is about 1 inch to an inch and a half of slack at the middle of the swingarm. As for how much oil it takes i believe its about 3.4 litres total but i could be wrong i always fill mine up till i can see it on the dipstick then i run the engine a for a few minutes then let it cool down and check it again, fill it up to the top safe line on the dipstick and keep doind that until the level doesn't go down any further, i do this to ensure i get the exact amount of oil, no more no less

the warrior takes 2.5 quarts i usually put in 3 to help keep it cool. I usually just clean my oil filter its just a brass screen. Those filters are a little on the high side $.

I could not disagree more!

1} If it takes 2.5 quarts, and your using 3 quarts, your wasting both power and reliability. The crank is being forced through the extra 1/2 quart of oil and that slows it down. That also loads the crank bearings a second time when there is no need to.

2} Cleaning an oil filter is actually destroying it. It is definatly more than just a brass screen and is very important to keep clean[and new].

It will tell you right on the side of the case next to the dip stick. I belive its 2500cc or 2600cc, each quart is 946cc so put in 2 quarts and then 600cc to 700cc of the 3rd quart it should leave around 300cc in the 3rd quart. Run the motor for a while and then check it.

Whew..I agree with the above post. Never run more oil than the recommended amount...your are putting undo stress on the whole motor. Run only the right amount.
