Raptor A-Arm Removal Question

anyone remove the the lower a-arm on their Raptor? im just wondering if u have to use a "pickel fork" to seperate the lower corntol arm from the ball joint? i don't wanna puncture the rubber boot on the ball joint using the pickel fork?

went ridin' over the weekend and a big rock crossed my path and now my lower a arm is broken -$180 bucks

I used a 3/4" round brass rod, about 6" long. I removed the nut and put it on backwards, ran it down until it was flush with the top edge of the threads. Put the brass rod on it and one good hit with a hammer knocked it out.

Loosen the nut on the ball joint and then smack the spindle on the side with a hammer. You want to hit where the ball joint passes through. This will save the threads on your ball joints.

A ball joint puller would be your best bet, but I have removed them with a hammer and a metal rod before.
