Recommend A Blaster?
#11
Dude get a Blaster. I have one and it is awsome. I just put a FMF pipe and silencer on mine, and some Boyseen reeds. Just these simple mods made a great increase in performance, not that it really needs it. I ride with guys who have a Honda 300ex and a Kawasiki Mojave, were all about even on the trails. The Blaster is great for a shorter person like me, I'm 5'9'' and it fits me like a glove. Happy atv hunting!!

I thought I settled this in another topic. Going by the LBS/HP the trailblazer has more HP per 1 pound. The trailblazer is faster, Over an 1 1/2 more suspension travel in the rear, has real breakes (hydro) is a full size quad, has an auto tranny, electric start, and a reverse gear. They are the same price, go figure. If you dont agree that the TB gives more for the money, then give me some points the blaster has over the TB. I dont understand where the conflict is. If you like a undersized, underpowered, undersuspensioned, underbraked quad then the blaster is your quad. Is this the truth?
No flames please, just one guys opinion.

Dominator,
I agree. The TB is much more quad for the same money. We paid $2995 out the door for my girlfriends. With the RCR kit it runs pretty good. The Blaster is easier to fling around & wheelie etc. for a little guy and some kids just gotta have a 5/6 speed quad. But considering all the Blasters shortcomings; Crappy brakes that need adjusting, no reverse, UGLY, small, bad tires, weak shocks & less suspension travel, more of a pain for chain adjustments. The TB is a way better deal. The Blaster is a fun quad to toss around & runs quite spirited for it's small motor. But after riding one I don't see how an average sized adult could be comfortable on such a little framed quad.
The TB's biggest problem out of the factory is it's low engagement primary. Change that with adding a pipe and it makes a big difference out of the corners. I guess since it is a "beginners" quad so to speak Polaris didn't want to put a higher engagement spring in there and surprise a novice rider.
Either quad is a great quad, it's just the Polaris is alot more quad for the same amount of money, but to each their own.

I agree that the Polaris IS more quad for your money. I would have bought one if I didn't like to jump, race around with my buddies on their 250R's, go crazy sliding around, and was able to fit on one. The Blaster suspenion is OK but the bakes are bad and dangerous. The front bakes were smei ok, they worked at least. THe back brakes are pretty much dragging your feet.

Trailblazers arent faster. Trailblazers are like 400+ lbs, hard to work on, are too big, and sound like my Drier. Plus the auto sucks unless your really lazy or old.
The Blaster is lighter, faster, better looking, easy to work on, and actually sounds like a 2 stroke.
