Really no different than what all the manufactures are doing now.. Honda would already be in complaince..

Here's the sentence you skipped "The EPA has decided to allow exemptions for off-road competition-only machines, described as vehicles lacking lights or a spark arrester, having suspension travel of more than 10 inches, and having an engine displacement larger than 50cc."

So all of the 2 stroke racers would still be built..

Yamaha Might lose the banshee..
Polaris might lose a couple models..

Everything else is already 4 stroke or already considered off-road competition-only.

Sugarhead..

what in the hell does the EPA have to do with 9/11??? Like 2 stroke quads not being made is going to cripple our economy??? I think I'd like to share what you're smoking..

and remember.. it's the EPA who stops the nuclear waste company from filling a large hole in your backyard with huge amounts of glowing material... they also make sure medical waste doesn't end up ijn your drinking water... ya.. that damn EPA

I might not agree with everything the EPA does, but I'd rather have them around than not.

Also.. look at the damn disclamier line they left in there "The EPA has decided to allow exemptions for off-road competition-only machines, described as vehicles lacking lights or a spark arrester, having suspension travel of more than 10 inches, and having an engine displacement larger than 50cc."

I can only think of a limited amount of machines that are currently made that won't be able to be produced in 2006. All of the 2 stroke dirt bikes will continue to be made, all of them. A couple polaris machines might not qualify, and the yamaha banshee. Everything else is already gone to 4-stroke.

Seems like you guys are bitching about a none issue if you ask me..

If you had to get an emmisions test done, you could just lean your machine way out for the test. I agree, this is a non issue.
BansheeBrad- You raise very good points. You seem to be forgetting about the blaster.
