I would not go any bigger than stock. I know you can probably go to 25inch because a few Wolverine owners and other sites have done this. Only problem is you will add weight, more wear and tear on the machine due to tire size, and will loose power from the extra weight. Not to mention you will probably void you warrenty. Most companies don't pay for damage if you have oversize tires on.

You can safely put on 25" tires without worries. The one thing that you want to try to do is find the lightest tires you can to avoid to big a power loss.
I have a set of 25" Dunlops, and for everything but handeling the improvment has been dramatic. It climbs much better, is better in mud and rocks and is faster on the top end.
The disadvantages are that it's a bit tippier in high speed turns, and the steering effort has increased.
All in all though, I'd reccommend 25" tires for almost any Wolverine. Not heavy mud tires though.

wow, i havnt been in this forum for over a year. well i def. agree wiht NOT putting big heavy mud tires on cuz i saw a wolv with biclaws and it would barly move in some 2-3 inch mud. u could hear the engine just trying to get those meats moving. my freind has two wolvs and has surtrac rears,(25in. i believe) and all tracs on the front. nice overall setup.

I have a 95 Wolverine with 26x12-12 Blackwaters on it. It works great in mud, and climing hills. I only noticed a slight drop in low range power but picked up some on the top end.

I put Maxxis All traxs on my wolverine 25 10x12 25 8x12. These are only 2ply tires and not very heavy. I kept my stock steel wheels but I suggest you get AL wheels.

i put 25-8-12 and 25-10-12 bear claws on mine. didn't like the extra weight so it went with 190 douglas alum. then i lost to much low end power especially in the mud, so i put 4 stroke techs 446 kit in it.

the kit cost around 650.00. if you have a repair manual you can do it yourself. the cases have to be split to put the stroker crank in. if you send it off to 4 stroke tech it is around 1200.00 parts and labor. the power and torque is unreal!
