I have a 99 kodiak and im set on getting titan 589's I also want ground clearence so
I thought about 27x11x12 all the way around or 26x12x12 all around. I also don't have a lift.please post your replys.

Are you sure your quad can handle tires that wide?

 

I put a set of goodyear mudrunners on my y2kodiak. 26x9x12 on the front,26x12x12 on the rear. I did lose a little power, but the ride remained almost the same. I put these tires on my stock rims. I think a better set up would have been to put 26x9x12's on both front and rear. Also the wider tires through a bit more mud on the rider. Do you know of any fender flaps for this machine?

P.S.
I have a friend with a Honda 450 with 27x12x12 blackwaters all the way around, my kodiak outperforms him in the mud every time

 

Love my Kodiak - I'm wondering, did you happen to check the wheel width while you were changing rubber ? I want to go to a larger tire but am keeping my ears open to help in my decision. How do you like the SHARP steering on the quad, one week old and my son rolled ours because of the oversteer

mpbspb you might look at Denis Kirk for mud flaps they have it for the 99 but im not sure
about the 00 model you can go to www.deniskirk.com com to look.
