interested in possibly buying a wolverine. Is this a wise choice? or can the 2000 kodiak keep up?

Also is there any talk of putting a bigger motor in them in the near future?

Go for it! You can't go wrong with a wolverine. It has it all, speed, handling, suspension, reliability, and looks. That's why they're one of the most popular yamaha's on the market. I love mine. It's also a very simple bike to work on. It doesn't have any of the bells and whistles that are always breaking on the bigger bikes like the foreman or sportsman, but it will still go anywhere they will go, plus it will get there first. I would suggest, however, that if you buy new, you will probably want to put on some better tires. The stock tires suck.

Yeah a Wolverine would be an awesome choice. I have a 97 and I love it. I wish i had a 00 because mine has no backup starter and its not in that kick butt blue color. But neither of those things really have had any effect in my riding. But he's right, the stock tires do suck. A Kodiak would be cool too. I don't see it being as sporty though but i have never been on one. I'm sure you'll be happy with either of them. -Scott 97 Wolverine

I have a'00 Wolverine and I love it. Best of all worlds. My dealer says there is a 400cc kit if you want to upgrade the motor.
