What would cause gas to leak from the carb vent tube on a '95 Blaster?

Stuck floats in the bowl would be the best bet I think.....Take the bowl off the carb and check it out.

good luck

There is a valve and seat that regulates gas into the float bowl. Sometimes the float is working fine but the seat has some dirt on it not allowing it to seal off and the gas keeps leaking into the bowl and overflowing. Take the bowl off and remove the valve and seat and re-install.

My brother took off the carb and made sure the float wasn't stuck. He put it back on and it still leaked out the tube. Is there an o-ring or seal around the needle valve that could need replacing? I'll know more this weekend when I get to look at it personally. So far I've only talking to him on the phone. Thanks.

As I said in my other post there is a valve that can be replaced under the float. After the float is pulled there is a little hook that attaches to the bottom of the float. Remove the screw and retaining fork and pull the valve. The whole valve can be replaced. I'm a little suspicious on a '95 that the valve is bad though. It's possible that the float is not positioned properly.
