Quoting: "On flat surface, mark the sidewall and the ground with a marking pen. Roll the wheel until the mark on the tire completes one revolution and is back on the ground. Mark the ground at this location. Measure the distance between the marks on the ground and convert the measurement to mm. Use this number for your wheel size. For accuracy, the riders weight should be on the bike when making this measurement." For reference, on my Raptor with stock tires and rims the measurement was 1585 mm.

I have the same computer speedo on my raptor ( Panoram ) by trail tech.
You can compute the # by multiblying your wheel diameter by 3.14 X 25.4mm/in.= total millimeters.
example 23" wheel x 3.14 x 25.4 = 1834mm Only good if your tires are rock hard.
To get a more accurate number, measure the distance your wheel makes in one complete revolution by placing a tape measure along side the machine. Then multibly the distance in inches by 25.4 mm/inch. This allows for the tire flex.

I did this a works great.
On to making it faster. Get a second magnet, put it at 180 degrees offset from the first one. Divide your MM setting by 2.. and it should be alot faster. The slowness comes from only updating every 2 revolutions of the tire. Well at low speeds thats alot of time. With 2 magnets on the wheel it will update every revolution. Dividing your tire size by 2 offsets having the second magnet.

While your two magnet idea helps the speed update, it is only half of the solution. The second half of the solution is in the new TrailTech computer (not shipping for another week). The computer updates based on two variables:
Number of triggers per unit time.
Units of time.
The current computer will only update the display at a maximum rate of 1 times per second. The new computer will update the display at a rate of two times per seconds.
If you call and ask for a software upgrade, they will provide one for $20.
